Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using W.E.B. (Warp Empire Battles) ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Service Description

W.E.B. is a web-based, multiplayer strategy game in which players command space empires, manage fleets, engage in diplomacy, and compete for galactic dominance. The Service includes:

• Account registration and profile management.
• Game lobby for browsing and joining available games.
• Turn-based gameplay with automated turn processing.
• In-game communication and diplomacy features.
• A virtual credit system for accessing game features.

The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you affirm that you are 18 or older. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Verify your email address before joining games.
• Use only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages is prohibited.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

When using the Service, you agree NOT to:

• Use offensive, profane, or inappropriate usernames or display names.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players through any communication feature.
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the game. If you discover a bug, please report it through the feedback system.
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, headless browsers, or third-party clients to interact with the Service or its API. Automated scraping or spidering of game data is expressly prohibited and is grounds for account suspension or permanent ban, with or without warning.
• Intentionally disrupt games by abandoning without notice or repeatedly missing turn deadlines in bad faith.
• Collude with other players outside the game's diplomacy system to gain unfair advantages.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the Service's source code or infrastructure.
• Share your account credentials with others or access another player's account.

5. Reliability and Fair Play

W.E.B. tracks player reliability to ensure a fair experience for all participants:

• Players who miss turn deadlines will have default orders submitted automatically.
• Players who miss three consecutive turn deadlines may have their empire placed under AI control.
• Reliability ratings are visible to other players and may affect your ability to join certain games.
• Repeated abandonment of games may result in account restrictions.

6. Virtual Credits

The Service uses a virtual credit system:

• Credits are required to join certain games and access features.
• Credits may be purchased through the Service or earned through gameplay.
• Credits have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or transferred outside the Service.
• We reserve the right to modify credit pricing, earning rates, and costs at any time.
• Unused credits remain in your account indefinitely unless your account is terminated for Terms violations.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, code, graphics, designs, game mechanics, and other materials associated with the Service are the property of W.E.B. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without explicit permission.
• Use the W.E.B. name, logo, or branding for any purpose without authorization.
• Create derivative works based on the Service.

Any content you submit through the Service (feedback, in-game messages) grants us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for operating and improving the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Game results will be free from bugs or calculation errors.
• Any defects in the Service will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, W.E.B. and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual credits, or interruption of gameplay.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked.
• Any unused credits in your account will be forfeited.
• Your active game positions may be transferred to AI control.

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
